About Dr. Jacklin

Jacklin Arastouzadeh, L. Ac. is a licensed acupuncturist and master herbalist practicing in Beverly Hills, California. She has 33 years of experience as an acupuncturist and an herbalist, and is a frequent guest on the cable TV program “Off the Record” in Los Angeles. She specializes in Acupuncture Orthopedics. She practices a compassionate, spiritual, and holistic method of healing.

 

Education

Dr. Jacklin is a graduate of UCLA, and of the Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine in Santa Monica. She received a Bachelor of Arts from UCLA in 1987, majoring in Psychology and Pre-Med studies. She received a Master’s Degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Emperor’s College in 1991. She has published an article on Chinese medicine in the journal Javanan.

Research

Dr. Jacklin has also been deeply involved in acupuncture research. She was a research acupuncturist at the UCLA Medical Center from 1993 to 2003,  conducting a long-term study on post-operative dental pain relief. She also conducted an independent research study on acupuncture in 1990, an independent research study on the effects of weather on human behavior in 1985, and an independent research study on vision and diseases of the eye at the Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA in 1984. 

Dr. Jacklin also was the co-founder and president of the Hadassah Healing Spirit Group in Los Angeles in 1993, and was assistant director of the student activity at the UCLA Hillel from 1983-1986. She was also an Assistant Proctor for the National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecological and Neonatal Nursing Specialties (NCC) from 1992 to 1993. She has been a member of the National Society of Oriental Medicine (NSOM) since 1992.

Dr. Jacklin holds numerous professional licenses, including a License in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the State of California, 1993; Diplomate of Acupuncture, National Commission for Certification of Acupuncturists and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), and Diplomate of  Acupuncture Orthopedics,  National Board of Acupuncture Orthopedics, (NBAO), 1992; Certificate in Acupuncture Orthopedics, Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine 1992; Certified Industrial Disability Evaluator (CIDE), NBAO, 1992; Certificate in Doctor-Patient Relationships, Body Mind Systems Medical Center, 1992; Certificate in the Link between Diagnosis and Communication, Educating your Patient, Ethics and Referrals, Body Mind Systems Medical Center, 1992; and Certificate in Acupressure, Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine, 1989.
